A peacock is beautiful therefore life is beautiful
INTRODUCTION TO “HEADZ UP!”
The Crazy Peacock is all about having crazy good fun, but not at the expense of being safe! The Crazy Peacock wants to be a part of improving the safety of those who pursue an active lifestyle. To that end, the “Headz Up!” mobile app has been developed. The app does the following:
- The app sends a text alert to an emergency contact, chosen by the user, indicating that the user has not moved in whatever the set number of minutes is that the user has selected.
- The app also provides the emergency contact with a map view that displays the GPS location of the non-moving user.
- The app will also send a follow up message to the emergency contact if the user begins moving again.
Who can use the “Headz Up!” app to improve safety?
Individuals and groups who can benefit from the app include the following:
- Cyclists and runners who may bike or run alone.
- Adventurists (e.g., hikers) who are often alone for extended periods.
- Public servants (such as wildlife officers) who may be isolated from others while performing their duties.
- Active seniors.
- And many others.
In short, anyone who is active and wants to improve their safety could benefit from using the “Headz Up!” app.
